I am fundamentally interested in the journey from genomics to precision medicine, and the actionable insights data can provide across various fields. This includes not only the development of biomedical applications, but also market and business development strategies.
Previously, I was a researcher at the Gulbenkian Institute for Science, the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology/Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, and ElementZero Biolabs. I also take pride in being a global citizen, having resided in Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Rome, and Warsaw.
In addition to research, I have gained a close understanding of the clinical underpinnings of disease through recent family experience with cancer (colorectal and lung), as well as cardiovascular and renal conditions. This exposure has made me deeply familiar with current medical practices, hospital environments, and the latest diagnostic and therapeutic options, from advanced clinical trials to individualized treatment strategies.
